UNICEF - State of the Worlds Children 2011

Under the Patronage of Queen Rania Al Abdullah, the Jordan Museum hosted UNICEF’s annual event titled The State of the World’s Children 2011 on March the 6th. HRH Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein, HRH Princess Sarah Al Faisal and Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan attended the event, which also brought together a number of officials, ambassadors, civil society representatives, and of course a number of Jordan’s children. UNICEF’s Regional Director Ms. Shahida Azfar, UNICEF’s representative in Jordan, Ms. Dominique Hyde and the Goodwill Ambassador Mr. Mahmoud Qabeel gave speeches during the event. In brief The State of the World’s Children Annual Report focuses on various issues affecting children around the world such as poverty, malnutrition, child abuse and other forms of mistreatment and exploitation of children.
